Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) (3 – 5 years):
The EYFS is designed to support children’s development from birth to the age of five. It lays the foundation for their learning journey, focusing on seven key areas: communication and language, physical development, personal, social, and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design.
At this stage, children learn through play, exploration, and practical engagement. Our educational approach recognizes the significance of providing a nurturing environment where children feel valued, secure, and confident to develop their skills and abilities at their own pace.
Our highly qualified and experienced educators work closely with each child to observe, assess, and plan individualised learning experiences. By integrating structured activities and child-initiated play, we ensure a balance between adult-led teaching and child-led discovery. Our goal is to promote independence, critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning.
Year One of the British Curriculum – (5 – 6 years) :
Year One marks the beginning of Key Stage One education, building on the foundations established during the EYFS. The British Curriculum aims to foster a seamless transition from early years to formal education, preparing children for future academic success.
In Year One, children continue to develop their core skills in communication, literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking. They explore subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, History, Geography, Art, Music, and Physical Education. Our curriculum focuses on developing essential life skills, including problem-solving, collaboration, resilience, and adaptability.
We incorporate a wide range of teaching methods, including interactive lessons, hands-on activities, multimedia resources, and real-world applications. Our devoted teachers create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging children to ask questions, express their ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions.
We also value the importance of building strong relationships between teachers, students, and parents. Through regular communication and feedback, we ensure that parents are actively involved in their child’s educational journey.
Welcome to our Arabic curriculum for children ages 3 to 6 years in Bahrain!
We are committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment where our young learners can develop a strong foundation in the Arabic language. Our curriculum focuses on the four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
At this tender age, we understand the importance of play and exploration in a child’s development. Our curriculum is designed to integrate fun-filled activities that foster curiosity and creativity. Through interactive games, hands-on activities, and engaging storytelling, we aim to make the learning process enjoyable and memorable.
Our approach to teaching Arabic is centred around creating a positive and supportive atmosphere. We believe in the power of gentle guidance and encouragement to motivate children to embrace the language. Our experienced educators are trained to be patient and understanding, ensuring that every child feels comfortable expressing themselves in Arabic.
Key components of our curriculum include:
1. Arabic Language Acquisition:
We provide a comprehensive range of activities that expose children to the sounds, vocabulary, and basic sentence structures of the Arabic language. Through songs, rhymes, and simple conversations, children gradually build their fluency and confidence in speaking Arabic.
2. Reading Readiness:
We introduce children to Arabic letters and their corresponding sounds through creative methods. Visual aids, letter recognition exercises, and phonics-based activities help develop early reading skills. Our goal is to instil a love for reading in Arabic from an early age.
3. Writing Skills:
As children progress, we guide them in forming Arabic letters and gradually move towards writing simple words and sentences. We encourage creativity by incorporating drawing and colouring activities alongside writing practice.
4. Cultural Appreciation:
We incorporate cultural elements into our curriculum to enrich children’s understanding and appreciation of Arab traditions, customs, and values. This includes introducing them to traditional Arabic arts, music, folklore, and celebrations.
5. Social Skills Development:
We emphasise the importance of social interaction and collaboration in our curriculum. Through group activities, role-playing, and cooperative games, children learn to communicate eectively and develop essential social skills.
Overall, our Arabic curriculum aims to provide a strong foundation in Arabic language skills while fostering a love for the language and Arab culture. We ensure a nurturing and inclusive environment where children can grow, explore, and thrive.
